While this nutrient blend is specifically formulated to support healthy fetal development and prenatal nutrition, Optimal Prenatal capsules may also be taken whenever the supplemental need for a potent and pure multivitamin exists.*

This complex formula is made with careful consideration for not only the increased demand for certain nutrients, but also for digestive sensitivity that can occur during pregnancy. This product contains L-5-MTHF, the most biologically available form of folate, which is essential to support healthy cognitive development. Optimal Prenatal also provides folinic acid, a non-methylated form of folate that can be easily converted to coenzyme forms within the body. This optimal blend of folates may work in conjunction with amino acids, chelated minerals, and other B vitamins to support normal cell growth and cardiovascular, neurologic and immune health.*

Optimal Prenatal capsules also contain two active coenzyme forms of vitamin B12: methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin, which may help support healthy fetal development, energy metabolism and methylation. The well-balanced vitamin B complex is complete with active forms of riboflavin and B6, plus additional biotin to support healthy growth and development. Biotin may also help support healthy skin, hair and nails. Both vitamin B6 and ginger extract are special features of this formula, supporting digestive comfort.*

Vitamin A is included in two forms: beta-carotene and retinyl palmitate, to help support those who have trouble converting “provitamin A” compounds (such as beta-carotene) into the active retinyl/retinol forms. Vitamin C and coenzyme Q10 provide antioxidant support, supporting a healthy immune system and cellular integrity. Trace minerals are included in their chelated forms, as amino acid-chelated minerals are typically well-absorbed and may be more easily tolerated than alternative supplemental forms. Optimal Prenatal Capsules are a comprehensive prenatal multivitamin intended for women of reproductive age who wish to promote health by supporting adequate daily intake of nutrients. This product is beneficial for supporting preconception health, prenatal health, and postpartum health.*

Pregnant women have higher nutritional demands due to the rapid growth and development of the fetus. Taking a daily prenatal vitamin can help to support good health by supplying micronutrients.

2. How do I take Optimal Prenatal Capsules?

As a dietary supplement, adults take 8 capsules daily or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. For those new to this product, start with a small dose and work your way up to the recommended serving size.

This product is best taken with meals and may be taken in divided doses. Avoid taking within 5 hours of bedtime as it may interfere with sleep.

If you struggle to swallow capsules, they may be pulled apart and sprinkled on food or in juice.

5. Does Optimal Prenatal Capsules contain gluten, soy, or grains?

Optimal Prenatal Capsules are tested and found free from gluten. Vitamin E and vitamin K are derived from soy but are tested and found to be free from allergens. The vitamin C is from corn. This product also contains ascorbyl palmitate which is derived in part from highly purified corn oil. Due to the processes used to manufacture the finished ingredient, the ascorbyl palmitate is considered non-allergenic. While Optimal Prenatal Capsules have not been tested for corn allergens, it is formulated to be free from corn proteins and common allergens.

6. Is Optimal Prenatal Capsules free from GMOs?

Testing verifies that Optimal Prenatal Capsules are free from GMO markers.

7. Is Optimal Prenatal Capsules vegetarian/vegan?

Optimal Prenatal Capsules are vegetarian. The vitamin D3 is derived from lanolin from sheep’s wool, so this product is not vegan.

Great prenatal

I love this prenatal because it is one of the few that delivers minerals and nutrients in their most bioavailable form. The customer service is also amazing! I was traveling a lot during my pregnancy and the support team was incredibly helpful each time I needed to change my mailing address

Love these!

I really noticed a difference in energy using these prenatals during my 2nd pregnancy. I didn’t have the typical afternoon dip and was able to have the energy to run around with my 3 year old as well. My OB even commented on my great vitamin stores when I went in for my blood work!
