Digestion Intensive by Seeking Health provide a broad spectrum of digestive enzymes derived from vegetarian sources to support optimal digestion and normal nutrient absorption. This supplement contains a targeted blend of disaccharidase enzymes to that are needed for proper cleaving of sugars including lactose (milk sugar), maltose (from cereal grains), sucrose (table sugar), and amylopectin (starch) molecules into their absorbable monosaccharide forms. Insufficient disaccharidase production by the small intestine can cause carbohydrate malabsorption and discomfort. Incompletely digested sugars or starch can also be fermented by pathogenic organisms and may contribute to yeast overgrowth and dysbiosis.*
Protein molecules require multiple enzymes for complete digestion. Proteases degrade proteins into peptides of 10 to 20 amino acids in length. Peptidases then complete the process by splitting peptides into single free-form amino acids that are used by the body. Incompletely digested peptides from casein (casomorphins), gluten (gluteomorphins), soy, or yeast may cause adverse effects in some individuals. Digestion Intensive provides a protease/peptidase complex with dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) activity.*

Although this is a highly purified material, individuals with known egg white allergy should consult their physician before using this product.
