Who Needs Folinic Acid Lozenge

Are you sensitive to methylated nutrients, but need folate supplementation?

Folate is essential for healthy methylation, proper growth, development, and cognitive function.

However, some people are sensitive to the active form of folate, methylfolate. They experience side effects such as headaches, nervousness, or rapid heartbeat after taking methylated nutrients.

For these individuals, folinic acid is an excellent, bioavailable, methyl-free alternative.

Folinic Acid Lozenge by Seeking Health contains a potent dose of methyl-free folate as folinic acid. Each delicious lozenge provides 1,360 mcg DFE (800 mcg) of folate in a well-digested form.

Folinic acid is quickly converted into methylfolate, the primary form of folate in the human body. In this way, folinic acid supports optimal methylation, homocysteine levels, and energy.

Folinic acid takes a few additional enzyme steps before methyl groups are formed and then released for your body to utilize. This slower delivery can provide relief and comfort in those sensitive to methylated nutrients.

Folinic Acid Lozenge supports healthy:

  • Mood
  • Methylation
  • MTHFR function
  • Energy production
  • Homocysteine levels
  • Correction of folate deficiency
  • Cognitive, memory, and brain function
  • Nervous system function and development
  • Prevention of neural tube defects during pregnancy

Folinic Acid Lozenge is perfect for those who don’t prefer capsules. These delicious, well-digested lozenges are designed for optimal absorption and utilization in your body.

You shouldn’t be struggling with side effects related to your dietary supplements. Now, you can provide your body the folate support it needs...without the headache of methyl donors!

Customer Review

Best Absorption

I've tried folinic acid from other brands and no matter what I do, they never absorb well. My folate levels only rise when I'm taking these folinic Acid lozenges. My doctor was shocked how much they raised my levels in one month's time. If you're looking to raise your folate levels quickly I would strongly suggest trying these. ~Morgan

Key Ingredients In Folinic Acid Lozenge

  • Folinic acid: A precursor to the methylated form of folate, methylfolate. Supports healthy cognitive function, energy production, and cardiovascular function.

Why Folinic Acid Lozenge Works

Your body produces folates through several enzymatic steps. The last step is the MTHFR enzyme, which generates the active biological form, methylfolate (also known as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate or 5-MTHF). The body uses this active form of folate to support the normal function of many processes including: methylation, cellular functioning, homocysteine breakdown, growth and development of the brain and spine, cognition, mood, detoxification, immune system function, and more.

One of the precursors to 5-MTHF is called folinic acid. It uniquely supports healthy formation and repair of RNA and DNA. It is much more metabolically active than food folates or folic acid supplementation. Folinic acid should not be confused with folic acid, a synthetic form of folate that is not well-utilized by the body.

Folinic acid requires only three enzymatic steps before being converted into 5-MTHF. For those sensitive to 5-MTHF, this makes a great solution for folate supplementation.

When methylated B vitamins are not an option, Folinic Acid provides bioactive folate support without the headache of methyl donors!

For an active, methylated form of folate, consider our Folinic Acid capsules.

Who is Folinic Acid Lozenge intended for?

Folinic Acid is intended for individuals who are sensitive to methylated nutrients and seeking folate support. This product provides pure, bioavailable folate as folinic acid calcium salt in a tasty lozenge designed for optimal digestion, absorption, and utilization. This form of folate (vitamin B9) quickly converts to L-methylfolate, the predominant circulating form of folate in the body. Folinic acid may be easier for individuals to tolerate than L-methylfolate supplements. Folate is essential for cell division, growth, and the formation of new red blood cells.

    EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED

My daughter does not do well with methyl vitamins. These give her no issues and it’s one less pill to swallow. They taste great and make her feel great!

Only Methyl-Free B9 Product I Could Find Anywhere

I looked everywhere I could think of and couldn’t find anyone else that offers a methyl free B9 product, so I’m so grateful to SeekingHealth for offering it! I understand the lozenge form helps get the nutrient into the body, especially for those who have digestive issues. My only complaint is that it contains xylitol and natural flavors. Unless the unflavored version would be super awful (like some accidentally-opened capsules can be!), I would prefer a neutral flavored lozenge without extra ingredients added to improve the taste. I am 100% in this for my health, and don’t care about taste!

Great for Methyl Sensitive MTHFR People

I've appreciated learning a few things about my genetics, and realize I get moody from taking methyl folate and methyl B12, which is what doctors or health practitioners immediately go to for people with MTHFR, etc. If you have a slow COMT gene, you might need to take it easy on the methyls. Nice to find this alternative folate option that isn't methylated, although I do think Seeking Health's price increases are too much. 33 cents per tiny lozenge is a bit silly if you ask me, after they used to be $12 or $13 per bottle!
