Key Benefits and Actions

  • Vitamin B complex free of B12 and folate

Who Needs B Minus

Are you already taking vitamin B12 and folate (vitamin B9) but need the rest of the B vitamins in your diet?

Most B complex supplements contain folate and B12. This can make it difficult to individualize the amount of these nutrients precisely.

B Minus is a potent formula containing 6 essential B vitamins. It is free from B12 and folate to allow for customization of these two essential nutrients.

B Minus is a one-a-day B complex without folate and B12. It provides over 100% of the daily value for the other six essential B vitamins in their bioavailable forms. The high amounts are ideal for those who are deficient or require higher amounts of B vitamins. It can be a great boost to your daily multivitamin intake.

B Minus is the preferred choice for people who do not tolerate methylated B12 (methylcobalamin) and folate (methylfolate). Some people experience side effects from these methylated nutrients.

B Minus is also designed for those who need specific forms of these nutrients. It can be paired with a standalone methyl-free or methylated B12 and folate supplement.

B Minus supports healthy:

  • Energy production
  • Hormone balance
  • Positive mood
  • Detoxification
  • Red blood cells
  • Cognitive function
  • Immune system function

Nearly all of the biochemical processes in your body are dependent upon B vitamins. B vitamins are considered essential because your body cannot make them. These water-soluble vitamins must be obtained every day from your diet.

You could be deficient in B vitamins if you’re struggling with:

  • Low energy levels
  • Brain function issues
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Skin or hair concerns
  • Immune system dysfunction
  • High homocysteine levels

B Minus contains potent amounts of your daily essential B vitamins in bioactive forms, minus B12 and folate. This gluten-free formula is free of GMO-markers. It allows for methyl-free or preferred forms of B12 and folate to be added to one’s regimen as needed. Be sure to pair B Minus with a bioavailable B12 and folate supplement, such as Active B12 with L-5-MTHF (methylated) or Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid (non-methylated). For an all-in-one B complex with vitamin B12 and methylfolate, consider our B Complex Plus.

Get ready to jump out of bed in the morning with this powerful formula!

Helps With My Energy Level

I have never found a product with multiple B vitamins that I could take. This one gives me energy and has none of the negative effects I’ve had with B complex vitamins. I’ve been so happy with this product. ~Valerie

Key Ingredients In B Minus

  • Riboflavin: Vitamin B2 is a cofactor for the MTHFR gene, which produces the active form of folate. Riboflavin supports healthy MTRR and MTHFR enzyme activity, hormone balance, and nervous system function. Riboflavin also plays a key role in cellular energy production.
  • Niacin: Vitamin B3 supports healthy circulation, MTRR enzyme function, and energy production.
  • Vitamin B6: Pyridoxine as P-5-P supports healthy hormone and neurotransmitter balance. P-5-P is a cofactor for the CBS enzyme, which is needed for healthy homocysteine metabolism and glutathione formation.
  • Thiamin: Vitamin B1 supports healthy carbohydrate metabolism and detoxification.
  • Biotin: Supports healthy skin and nails.
  • Pantothenic Acid: Adrenal health support.

Why B Minus Works

Hundreds of cellular reactions in your body require B vitamins. They act as coenzymes for critical enzymes that regulate methylation and the metabolism of food into energy (ATP).

An important enzyme complex that converts glucose into ATP is called the Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Complex. Embedded in this important group of proteins are various B vitamins. These B vitamins are essential in transforming pyruvate into acetyl CoA, which can enter the Krebs cycle to generate energy (ATP). Vitamins B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), and B5 (pantothenic acid) all play a key role in the process of turning glucose from food into energy we can use to power us throughout the day.

Feelings of restlessness have been attributed to excess glutamate and insufficiency of GABA in the brain. Vitamin B6 is required by the enzyme that converts glutamate into GABA. Interestingly, your body also needs B6 to make your two feel-good neurotransmitters, serotonin and dopamine.

In cases of poor digestion or diet, B vitamin supplements may be necessary. B Minus is free from folate and B12. This allows flexibility to customize your level of and form of vitamin B12 and folate. For an all-in-one B complex including active forms of B12 and methylfolate plus choline, consider B Complex Plus.

How to Use B Minus

Suggested Use

Take 1 capsule with food or as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not take within 5 hours of bedtime as it may interfere with sleep.

Folate and B12 are not included in this formula. Ensure that you consume adequate levels of them from your diet, or supplement with a methylated or methyl-free B12 and folate combo.

Warnings

Children and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their healthcare provider prior to use. Do not use if tamper seal is damaged.

Niacin Flushing: This formula contains niacin. When taken on an empty stomach, a healthy response to niacin supplementation may include mild blushing, warming, or tingling of the skin. This can appear on the ears, face, arms, torso, or occasionally on the legs. Commonly referred to as a "niacin flush", this harmless response normally dissipates within an hour. It is related to niacin's role in vasodilation (widening of blood vessels). Vasodilation leads to better circulation, capillary flushing, and increased blood flow to the surface of the skin. To minimize or prevent flushing, consider taking this supplement with food or in divided doses.

How to Enhance B Minus

1

Consider Pulsing

Dr. Ben Lynch recommends using certain dietary supplements based on your need for them. Start with a partial serving and increase slowly over time to the full serving, only if needed. When you start feeling good, consider reducing the serving size, skipping days, or pausing supplementation. Then take again when you feel you need it (stressful day, traveling, chemical exposure, etc.), hence "pulsing." Work with your qualified healthcare practitioner to determine what's best for you.

2

Pairs Well With

Active B12 with L-5-MTHF, as B-Minus is free from these two important B vitamins. Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid, for a methyl-free source of B12 and folate for those who are sensitive to methylated nutrients. ProBiota 12, to support healthy gut microbiota. Gut microbes are known to produce B vitamins. Those with B vitamin deficiencies may experience health benefits from probiotic support.

Dosages too high for everyday use

I love the idea of taking the active forms of B vitamins without B12 and folic acid, which I can add in at lower dosages depending on how my body reacts to them since I have the MTHFR gene and other genes that effect B12 absorption. I have tested below normal in B1, B2 and B5 and B minus brought my levels back in the normal range. I just wish the B minus was 1/2 the dosage you offer or just the recommended daily value. The B6 is too high and I am having questionable toxicity/neuropathy symptoms in my legs, feet and bladder. I have tested my B6 twice and it’s 3 times what it should be. Could you consider making a lower dosage B minus? You will most likely get even more sales. I can’t totally recommend them to family and friends because I’m afraid they may end up with toxicity symptoms also.

Seeking Health

Hello,

We understand that this product does have a high amount of vitamin B6 and this may be too much for some people. Since this product does come in a capsule form, you can open it and dump out only half into something cold to be consumed as a half dose.

You can also reach out to our Customer Service team at (800) 547-9812 or email customer@seekinghealth.com. We are happy to discuss this further.
