Hydroxo B12 by Seeking Health provides 2,000 mcg of hydroxocobalamin in an easy-to-deliver lozenge form. Not only does hydroxocobalamin easily convert to methylcobalamin (a coenzyme form of B12 utilized within the body), but it is also well tolerated by individuals who have trouble taking "pre-methylated" B vitamins. It may also have the unique benefit of helping to support healthy cellular detoxification. This makes it a great option for individuals who are looking for a non-methylated alternative to the more common cyanocobalamin form of B12.*
Vitamin B12 is required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis. Vitamin B12 functions as a cofactor for methionine synthase and L-methylmalonyl-CoA mutase. Unlike cyanocobalamin, which consists of cobalamin (B12) attached to a cyanide molecule, hydroxocobalamin does not contain any potentially harmful compounds that require additional processing for safe removal from the body. Hydroxocobalamin readily converts to methylcobalamin, an active “coenzyme” form of B12, without introducing additional methyl groups for "overmethylators" or those who are sensitive to methylated B vitamins.*
For another non-methyl B12 option, consider our Adeno B12. If a methylated B12 is needed, our Active B12 5000 provides a combination of coenzyme forms: methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.

After being diagnosed with MTHFR, my Dr told me to supplement with this b12. Other forms make me feel nauseous, but not this one. Taste is great too.
I love this product. It's one of the only forms of B12 that works for me. I like the lozenge form, too.
Great for days I don't eat enough B12.
I have known since 1990 that I was an under methylator. Didn't find until 2010 that methyl B12 was the right form of B12 to take. Cleared up all of those symptoms in three days. (MTHFR} Found out in 2013 about adenosylcobalamin. It worked for about three weeks and then winter came. So no more sunlight. Actually lost 11 1/2 lbs in those three weeks. Weight came back during winter. Hasn't had any effect on weight since then. In 1990 I had received two B12 injections. Those injections along with a natural form of thyroid totally straightened up my blood, my weight and my hypothyroid symptoms. I lost that doctor after eight months. No doctor since then has done anything to help me and most of them have only made me sicker. I knew that these two forms weren't doing the job and kept looking for hydroxocobalamin. I couldn't find it and doctors only give cyanide cobalamin injections now. They do nothing but poison your liver. I finally found what I needed here. I started taking it and weaning off the other two forms. It took a couple of weeks for it to do the job, and I was taking 2 mg morning and evening for a while. I found that lithium needs to be available to move B12 into the cells. The one to take is Lithium Orotate. Definitely happy with this B12.
