  • Vitamin A: Vitamin A is provided as both the precursor, beta-carotene, and the bioactive form, retinyl palmitate. These bioavailable forms accommodate common variations in the BC01 gene. Mutations in this gene can make it difficult to convert vitamin A to its active form. Vitamin A supports health of the brain, eyes, mucous membranes, skin, and immune system.†
  • True Folate: Folate is provided as L-5-MTHF (methylfolate) and folinic acid (a methyl-free form). These bioavailable forms are readily recognized and utilized by your body. Why Prenatal Essentials Chewable Works

Prenatal Essentials Chewable was formulated based on the enzymatic pathways involved in pregnancy and genetic development. Enzymes in these pathways require specific nutrients as cofactors. Arguably the most important of these nutrients are folate and B12 in their most superior, bioavailable forms. Without them, the fetus cannot effectively develop or express its genetics.†

Your MTHFR gene converts and produces methylfolate (5-MTHF) from whole foods. However, MTHFR gene variations and lifestyle stress can slow down this gene, causing folate deficiency. It is estimated that over 50% of the population has a mutation in their MTHFR gene.†

Ironically, the artificial version of folate that is often prescribed to pregnant women, called folic acid, can slow the MTHFR gene even more. Folic acid is never included in any of Seeking Health’s dietary supplements. Instead, we use natural and bioavailable forms, including 5-MTHF (methylated) and methyl-free folinic acid (calcium folinate).†

    Finally a prenatal I can take!

    I'm very happy with the chewable prenatals as I can't swallow pills. At first it tasted a little chalky but then I quickly got used to it and I don't even notice it anymore. I originally tried the prenatal powder but that one hurt my stomach I think because it's plant based which is harder for me to digest.

    What I love about this prenatal: chewable and tastes good, makes life so much easier, especially if you’re taking lots of supplement pills already AND feeling nauseous. It contains B6 which really helps morning sickness, as well as milk thistle which is great for someone like me who had preeclampsia during my last birth.

    Worked great for me. And now it’s changed.

    I took these as a good all around vitamin and not for pregnancy. I was having a side benefit of the TMG and Milk Thistle and now it appears to have changed. I do poorly on a lot of things especially blends. I am bummed. As it didnt work for others as well, but worked great for me and now I am searching for an alt. I cannot do the powder protein version as the pea protein aggravates my liver.

    I would like to see a side by side of the reformulation.

    This is frustrating. I recently learned about FUT2 and probably why I struggle to take many supps. Ive trued a number of the other vitamins and they are all too strong or have an unnecessary ingredient for my genes. Im frustrated how often these products are changed.
