Why Phosphatidyl Serine Works

Not only are boundaries helpful when managing stress, but they’re also necessary inside the body. Cell membranes keep certain nutrients inside our cells. They also keep certain pathogens outside our cells. In addition, they protect cells from damage, provide storage for nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, and act as support structures for proteins like enzymes and receptors.

Cell membranes have to be healthy in order to function properly. What makes up a healthy cell membrane especially in important portions of the brain? Having adequate levels of phosphatidylserine and other phospholipids.†

Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid. It has lipids in it, like docosahexaenoic acid or DHA, and a phosphate attached to serine. It can be embedded in membranes and is found in high amounts in some neuronal tissues. By its nature, phosphatidylserine is fluid and flexible. I actually think it works. I was hesitant if it would really help me but I have to admit my memory is a bit better. I remember what I had to do much faster. May not be for everyone but it did help me
