Key Benefits and Actions*

Overlay your SNPs or that of your patient’s SNPs onto the Pathway Planner using StrateGene® Strategic Genetic Analysis! After two years of digging through research, Dr. Lynch’s research team has identified key SNPs which are clinically relevant – and more importantly – which ones are not.

How To Use - Click here.

What does StrateGene® provide?

  • SNPs identified by AncestryDNA (Version 2 only) OR 23andMe.
  • Well-researched SNPs.
  • Factors which influence each SNP.
  • Description of each SNP.
  • Kinetic variation.
  • Associated conditions and symptoms according to research.

StrateGene® has not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

With StrateGene® you can quickly learn about potential issues by overlaying your SNPs or those of your patients onto the Pathway Planners covering the important folate, methionine, transsulfuration, biopterin, and histamine pathways.

What is StrateGene®?

StrateGene® is a genetic reporting tool that uses AncestryDNA (Version 2 only) OR 23andMe data.

By limiting report data to well-researched SNPs, a qualified health care practitioner is able to formulate a targeted testing and treatment plan – faster.

For the last two years, Dr. Lynch and his research team have analyzed SNP after SNP. In order for the SNP to meet inclusion criteria, it had to meet these standards:
  • The SNP is found in AncestryDNA V2 or 23andMe (current or past chips).
  • The SNP is found in a gene that belongs to a biochemical pathway that is covered by StrateGene®.
  • There is a critical mass of published research related to the SNP.
  • The SNP has potential clinical implications as determined by published research.

What genetic tests can be used with StrateGene®?

  • AncestryDNA: StrateGene® only works with AncestryDNA tests purchased AFTER MAY 2016 (Version 2 only). Not compatible with earlier test data.
  • 23andMe: StrateGene® works with all (past and current) 23andMe chips. However, if you purchased 23andMe after August 2017, some SNPs that were available with previous chips will be missing from your report.

Genes Evaluated by StrateGene®

The SNPs analyzed and reported by Ancestry are different from those available from the most up-to-date version of 23andMe.

Key differences:

  • You get MAOA, MAOB, and DAO included with Ancestry V2 (not included on 23andMe-based StrateGene® reports). These are "Super Seven" Genes!
  • You get a total of 2 more RSID#'s analyzed with Ancestry V2 than with 23andMe.

See below for more detail on which polymorphisms are analyzed by each option.

*Ancestry has pulled APOE RS# 429358 from their reporting. There is some speculation with how AncestryDNA reported on APOE SNP RS# 429358 as stated here:

If you would like to get your reporting on this genotype, 23andMe raw data may be used instead.

Should I order 23andMe still?

AncestryDNA test is recommended. If you have not yet run 23andMe, you may still benefit from it if you are ok with not having the above SNPs in your results. It is still a good value for $99. If you want your StrateGene® results to include MAOA, MAOB, or DAO, consider AncestryDNA V2 instead.

How is StrateGene® laid out?

Section 1 – Overview tables of known SNPs with gene, rsid, variant name, risk allele, and genotype. In addition “GSTT1 deletion”, if detected, plus the predicted NAT2 acetylator phenotype.

Section 2 – Results for each pathway with description, SNPs overlaid onto Pathway Planners, and details on SNPs found. The gene and SNP details include influencing factors on genes, SNP kinetic impact, and potential associated symptoms and conditions.

Section 3 – A discussion of “bonus SNPs”. These are SNPs for which there is not yet Pathway Planner graphics available, but which the research team wanted to include for added value.

Who may order StrateGene®?

Both wholesale and retail customers may order StrateGene® – Strategic Genetic Analysis.

If you are a patient, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional to receive advice on how to use the information in the StrateGene® report.

Great! But, how about if I'm not a scientist?

I do like it, but I've also found online sites that show similar information for free. I would say it's very convenient and amazing but it's really far too complicated and limited for that to be true. Perhaps it will make more sense to me over the years as I study all these terms and things as if I'm a scientist. But I'm not a scientist or a doctor, I'm a user just trying to make sense of myself. The closest recommended naturapath near me charges $300 out of pocket (out of network) in the next town over. I already paid $45 for this, but it means very little to me in terms of "what do I do?" without a doctor studying the report and making that conclusion for me. Regardless - I did stay up til 3am in the middle of a work week trying to come up with a quick-n-clean solution for my diet for my next day as I'm constantly breaking out in hives no matter if I eat or what I eat and I'm already 6 months in with my issue. And what does it mean if my MAO A and MAO B are opposites?? How am I to begin to treat my issues if most of the unique genes all conflict? There's really no information for that other than the graphs, which really are quite hard to understand without further education that isn't included.

The results and information is great, don't get me wrong, it just means nothing in terms of treatment or approach to understanding what I should do in my unique condition (just like everyone else's!).

I will not be investing further in the *new* upcoming StrateGene as I've…

Awesome info, but complicated to read

the diagrams are so confusing for me! Good info overall, though. I would recommend the book over the report (supporting actual symptoms vs genes because a DNA test does not tell you which genes are dirty)

Invaluable to help optimization health

Stratagene has been an invaluable tool paired with the Dirty Genes book, courses, Dr. Ben’s videos & Seeking Health supplements in helping optimize both my husband & I’s health! We’re working on helping many dirty genes behave clean through epigenetics. We would never have been able to make this much progress without Dr. Ben’s guidance through the tools he provides & Stratagene has definitely played an important role.

Taking a bit to get through it, but I will figure it out!!

I'm a 25+year patient with COMPLEX issues and have been educating my own doctors for years. I'm not a W*bMD reader - I read NIH, Medline, NEJM, etc. So I have a bit more-than-layperson knowledge but am still a lifelong student. So...I will admit, it is not necessarily the easiest to get through and LOOKS overwhelming when you open it, but you WILL get it - so go slow, re-readX10, take 1 pg at a time, don't do anything til you've read it all and at least "semi-get it", watch his videos, read the book - be patient and kind with yourself. This is THE ONLY report to use - EVER! I've done them ALL - soooo much better than ANY other 3rd party app - for which I've already spent $100s and have been SOOOO confused (and messed up) for many years now. Watch Dr. Lynch's video about WHY this report is better. Read the book too in order to get more down-to-earth info. THANK YOU - I'm done experimenting with a million different supplements per those other confusing and conflicting genetic reports (Nu***Ha***r, Li**We**o, Ge*****Ge**e, Pr***th***se, etc.) - YEARS of months/weeks/days of feeling good, then bad, then good, then bad, and so on. Got nearly suicidal so am starting with Dr Lynch to create a baseline - REMOVE before ADDING things, and move on from there. It will take a while, but it makes sense. Doesn't seem as overwhelming, esp with baby steps. I've got a LONG way to go, but I will do it! Finally, I see HOPE - Thank you!! Doing parents next! Cheers, Good Luck, and Good Health!
