With StrateGene you can quickly learn about potential issues by overlaying your SNPs or those of your patients onto the Pathway Planners covering the important folate, methionine, transsulfuration, biopterin, and histamine pathways.

What is StrateGene?

StrateGene is a genetic reporting tool that uses AncestryDNA (Version 2 only) OR 23andMe data.

By limiting report data to well-researched SNPs, a qualified health care practitioner is able to formulate a targeted testing and treatment plan – faster.

For the last two years, Dr. Lynch and his research team have analyzed SNP after SNP. In order for the SNP to meet inclusion criteria, it had to meet these standards:
  • The SNP is found in AncestryDNA V2 or 23andMe (current or past chips).
  • The SNP is found in a gene that belongs to a biochemical pathway that is covered by StrateGene.
  • There is a critical mass of published research related to the SNP.
  • The SNP has potential clinical implications as determined by published research.

What genetic tests can be used with StrateGene?

  • AncestryDNA: StrateGene only works with AncestryDNA tests purchased AFTER MAY 2016 (Version 2 only). Not compatible with earlier test data.
  • 23andMe: StrateGene works with all (past and current) 23andMe chips. However, if you purchased 23andMe after August 2017, some SNPs that were available with previous chips will be missing from your report.

Genes Evaluated by StrateGene

The SNPs analyzed and reported by Ancestry are different from those available from the most up-to-date version of 23andMe.

Key differences:

  • You get MAOA, MAOB, and DAO included with Ancestry V2 (not included on 23andMe-based StrateGene reports). These are "Super Seven" Genes!
  • You get a total of 2 more RSID#'s analyzed with Ancestry V2 than with 23andMe.

See below for more detail on which polymorphisms are analyzed by each option.

Should I order 23andMe still?

AncestryDNA test is recommended. If you have not yet run 23andMe, you may still benefit from it if you are ok with not having the above SNPs in your results. It is still a good value for $99. If you want your StrateGene results to include MAOA, MAOB, or DAO, consider AncestryDNA V2 instead.

Is StrateGene right for you?

StrateGene isn’t for everyone. Is it right for you? In this video, Dr. Lynch clearly explains who - and who shouldn’t - use StrateGene.

How is StrateGene laid out?

Section 1 – Overview tables of known SNPs with gene, rsid, variant name, risk allele, and genotype. In addition “GSTT1 deletion”, if detected, plus the predicted NAT2 acetylator phenotype.

Section 2 – Results for each pathway with description, SNPs overlaid onto Pathway Planners, and details on SNPs found. The gene and SNP details include influencing factors on genes, SNP kinetic impact, and potential associated symptoms and conditions.

Section 3 – A discussion of “bonus SNPs”. These are SNPs for which there is not yet Pathway Planner graphics available, but which the research team wanted to include for added value.

Who may order StrateGene?

Both wholesale and retail customers may order StrateGene – Strategic Genetic Analysis.

Greatly appreciated!
Thanks Dr Lynch for taking the time to breakdown the pathways and educate the layperson. This is complicated, although you do break it down in ways that are fully comprehensive. Genetics doesn't need to be so scary and you've poured yourself out to help us all understand a bit more the natural laws of biochemistry...whether we like it or not! Review by Terry W. (Posted on 10/30/2017)
Complicated and hard to understand
It is interesting but you need to meet with one of their trained doctors to decipher it. Review by Sonja H. (Posted on 10/30/2017)
Best money I've spent on any health related product
StrateGene gives you so much information (almost too much perhaps!), it empowers you more than any tool available out there. You truly become an actor of your own health, knowing as much as we can know today about how your genes work and how to improve them. Kudos to Dr Lynch for this fantastic piece of work. Review by Patrick K. (Posted on 9/5/2017)
The information you sent was incomprehensible, and was set up as a marketing tool to get people to call one of your specially trained health providers. Seems like a scam. Review by david h. (Posted on 9/5/2017)
The StrateGene reports for my wife and I have proven helpful in assessing previously unrecognized links to our health. We work with several relatively genetic-familiar health practitioners and StateGene appears much easier for them to work with than other more lengthy reports we have obtained. Keep up and expand the good work! Review by Joseph C. (Posted on 9/5/2017)
This report is very helpful!

StrateGene personal review
I ordered this with great expectation. Though it has been a while since I looked at it, I remember thinking it was not all that useful for the layperson that I am. I could not translate the info into my real life, or what to do about changing things that might make a difference in my health. I ended up going somewhere else. Review by Melinda G. (Posted on 9/5/2017)
Lots of good info, but not sure what to do with it
The Stratagene help me better understand my genetic make up, but most ND's in my area do you not know much about it or what to do with it. Review by Cindy P. (Posted on 9/5/2017)
Course? I got the report many months ago
Haven't been able to use it. I don't know how to read it and there are no local people near me that I can afford to review it to tell me what it means. Review by Ella Z. (Posted on 9/4/2017)
StrateGene Report and SeekingHealth
I found the information in my StrateGene report so useful that I ran reports for my Mother and Son. It does take some time and focus to work out how to use the information to improve health and understand where things could have gone so wrong, but when the medical profession are of no help, self help is the only alternative, and for me this was the best place I could have possibly started. The support from Ben Lynch and his team is priceless, it will in effect help me regain my life, and prevent my children from suffering the same ill health. The cost is worth every penny, and the service was outstanding. Review by Carolyn M. (Posted on 7/19/2017)
Perfect visualization of complex subjects
Strate gene helps to understand how everything is related and attack to each other. It allows a glance on the big picture, instead of just individual polymorphisms. This is really useful, but without any medical knowledge may be hard to find your way through it. In my opinion some more genes would be desirable, especially regarding HNMT. Would have thought to get more
Would have thought to get more information for that price Review by Xav (Posted on 7/14/2017)
Strategene report
The report generated by Strategene from 23and me raw data is outstanding. I was so impressed with the fast and easy process and the clear layout of information on relevant metabolic pathways in the human body. The charts are also very useful in understanding the results. It is good to know that the information is discreetly provided to the individual who did the test and is deleted after a short period of time. This is a great tool and well worth the modest cost. Review by Guest (Posted on 7/8/2017)
I've been looking for someone to help me interpret the information, I found it to be more informative than 23 & me, but I still don't quite understand it. Review by June P. (Posted on 7/6/2017)
Fantastic and efficient
Thank you so much! This made my 23andme results make so much more sense. And it was done in less than 5 minutes. Review by Katherine T. (Posted on 7/3/2017)
Very helpful!
This report does a good job of interpreting raw DNA data. It's nice to have the option to subscribe or not. I'm looking forward to having other genes added to the report. Review by Angie S. (Posted on 6/23/2017)
Very good tool for everyone willing to invest some time
If you want more from your 23&me report than a few fun facts this is definitely the place to go. Very informative in theory with lots of visuals AND with practical instructions. Allows you bio-hacking 2.0! And yes, it is complicated but this IS complex stuff and if/when you invest the time to go through all the additional videos Ben Lynch throws in, he makes it as easy to understand as possible but of course not easier ;-) well worth the money! Review by Ulf U. (Posted on 6/23/2017)
I didn't find the report adds much value
While I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into creating this report I have worked in science and research and I think this report and the accompanying descriptions could be simplified to make them easier for the lay person to understand. I also think that it lacks a lot of the B vitamin pathways which are critical to foundational health and focuses instead on the sexy MTHFR genes. Feedback and suggestions go to the bottom of a "laundry list" (quoting Ben Lynch), promised updates don't arrive and the Facebook group is useless. It's full of people who don't understand their report (no wonder, as it hasn't been written in easy-to-understand language), people asking for medical help which the group doesn't support and practitioners pushing their own agenda and posting solely to let you know that they are clever and that you should consult them. The Facebook group bans all posts offering advice on supplements and is of no support whatsover. Only a few researchers post truly useful nuggets of information about advances in research. The promised live Q&A didn't last long and Doctor Lynch dismisses questions he doesn't think are important enough to answer. The actual SNPs on the Strategene report are limited and not worth paying for. You can get the same information and much more on Livewello. There is also a lot of dispute over which SNPs are relevant. Lynch has his ideas. Other practitioners focus on different SNPs. I'm only rating this a 2 star because the Facebook group and Q&A used to be useful Review by Tania (Posted on 5/14/2017)
watching dr lynchs promo I was looking forward for togetting strategene I'm not a doctor and its very hard to comprehend and decode and look for treatment in my opinion strategene is only made for doctors selling it people like me just its just a waist the doctors on the website didn't want to work with strategene and wanted me to purchase an extra tool one of the doctors scammed me and is not refunding me for a unconfirmed apointmemt and nothing is being done about it the facebook group that comes with the purchase of this engine is a joke people ask questions they are either ridiculed for asking the wrong questions or just plainly ignored this was a waste of my time and money I came here to heal now I'm even more stressed Review by natouchka (Posted on 5/6/2017)
Great tool!
Great tool! Best I've seen as a provider who uses this information to guide patients to wellness and long term health. Review by Renée M. (Posted on 4/30/2017)
