Product Description

The benefits of Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C are almost endless and this strong antioxandant is needed by the body to support the immune system, connective tissue, skin and recycle glutathione. The difference between regular Vitamin C and Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C comes with how the body can absorb them. When a person consumes foods rich in Vitamin C, big amounts are drained in the urine. All contents of Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C are absorbed via liposomes that go straight into your blood stream. Liposomes are extremely small substances. In fact, one liposome only has a diameter between 300 and 400 nanometers. Due to its small size, it allows the Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C to be totally absorbed by the body. Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C is not phased by the plethora of obstacles and resistance thrown up by the digestive system. The Vitamin C filled nano-spheres slip right by the enzyme in your saliva, your digestive juices, the bile salts, and other elements that breakdown unprotected Vitamin C. Your body absorbs the liposomes as essential phospholipids and sends them straight to the liver for normal processing.

Supplementing with Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C helps support:
  • the immune system, allowing it to function at its optimal capability
  • detoxification
  • processing of harmful environmental and bacterial toxins
  • a healthy cardiovascular system and heart
  • healthy aging
  • eye health
  • the body from free radicals
Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C consists of pure natural ingredients supplying your body with only what you need, nothing else:
  • 1000 mg Vitamin C per dose
  • Natural phosphatidylcholine derived from Sunflower (most effective delivery method)
  • Purified water
  • Natural flavors and a preservative
  • Soy Free
Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C by Seeking Health is the best Vitamin C available because it provides natural phosphatidylcholine - not hydrogenated phospholipids. Studies show hydrogenated liposomes significantly increase bad cholesterol levels while natural non-hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine does not. Liposomal Vitamin C may be an unfamiliar nutrient to many individuals, but this vitamin can provide astounding benefits to one’s health. Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C goes into your bloodstream directly to your liver allowing it to work quickly. This is the most effective delivery method.

Shelf Life : Commonly one year+ from manufacturing date for all Liposomals. The manufacturing date is listed on the bottom of the bottle.

  • Damaged in transit by hot weather?7/11/12 9:33 AM
    • I'm wanting to order a bottle of the Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C, but I live in Oklahoma and right now (July, 2012) we're having extremely hot weather, as is most of the country. Would the product be damaged, or its effectiveness compromised, from being exposed to prolonged high temperatures while in transit?

      Please advise. Thank you.
    • Hello -

Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C can be shipped with an ice pack and foil wrap.

I also recommend you consider USPS Priority Mail and order anytime between 2 pm on Friday and 10 am Wednesday. This way your products will be in transit only for a couple days.

    • Hi-

What is the shelf life of your Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C?

      Thanks
    • Hello -

I am not present in our office at the moment but I do know the shelf life is at least one year. This is a good question and we will post it online letting everyone know.

Please check back next week and this webpage will display the shelf life.

      Thank you for your question!

  • hydrogenated phospholipids9/28/12 10:08 AM
    • Can you explain the difference between natural phosphatidylcholine and hydrogenated phospholipids? From my research, I have found most companies making Liposomal Vitamin C are using non-gmo lecithin. Is there something in the encapsulation production process which would turn the phosphatidylcholine into a hydrogenated form?

Some people make Liposomal Vitamin C at home using an ultrasonic cleaner. Does this process hydrogenate the phosphatidylcholine?

Several companies make note of the fact that they do NOT use hydrogenated phospholipids, and I'm curious about this. I can't find much info about it on line.

I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your time.

      Liz

    • Hi Liz -

Great questions. I sent your questions to our manufacturer and this is what they responded with:

      "

Hydrogenated/hydroxylated and saturated fats are the same thing; non-hydrogentated is noted as it is healthier.  However, lecithin and pure phosphatidylcholine are not the same thing; lecithin is a low quality impure phosphatidylcholine substitute.

The ultrasonic process often destroys the vitamin c but is unlikely to hydrogenate the lecithin.  Making liposomes at home has many dangers as there are a lot of germs, bacteria, and toxic cleaning compounds that can get into the liposomes.  Combine that with household air pollution and the process being performed by a non-professional, this is a recipe for disaster.  Furthermore, when using this method, you end up with a sludge that is not water soluble which means it is not a liposome."

      I hope this helps.

  • Seeking Health Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C vs Intravenous Vitamin C10/2/12 4:28 PM
    • Hello,

I would like to know how your liposomal vitamin C compares to intravenous vitamin C. In other words, one portion (4ml) of Seeking Health Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C is equivalent to how many grams of intravenous vitamin C and is it
      as effective?

      Could you please advise.

      Cheers,
      Marta
    • Hi Marta -

We are in process of conducting clinical trials at a university that will generate this data.  However, it will be several months until the trial is complete.

    • The mfg date on the bottom of the bottle has already passed. Is the the expiration date or is it the date it was made?
    • Hello -

The date of the bottom is the date of manufacture. We get Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C shipments in about 8 to 10 times a year so the inventory is kept very fresh.

  • Potential liver damage?10/18/12 11:29 AM
    • Hello,

I would like to ask 3 questions:

      1) Is there any potencial liver damage due to liposomal Vitamin C?

      2) I understand that the liposomes slip rigrt by the digestive system (which would otherwise break nutrients down), and enter via the portal vein to the liver.
Once these liposomes are within the liver, what kind of processing, if any, takes place on them? Are the liposomes separated into their phospholipids (which make up the liposome bilayer) and into their aqueous Vitamic C content, and then processed like all other normal nutrients?
Or, do these liposomes exit unprocessed and intact from the liver, still as liposomes, and via the hipatic vein enter the bloodstream, and finally reach as liposomes the body cells, where they release their Vitamin C content?

      3) How can I practically test the liposomal Vitamin C for freshness and quality?

      Could you please advice.

      Cheers,

      Theo
    • Hello -

      1) None that I have heard. Vitamin C and phosphatidylcholine both are very supportive to the liver and none have any known toxicity at high doses.

      2) Liposomes allow their contents to slip past cell membranes and act immediately within the cell. This is why they are so effective. Nutrients that are not in liposomes typically require some form of carrier protein or receptor binding site to be taken into the cell. When the nutrient is in a liposome, it does not need either system.

      3) Our liposomal vitamin C is freshly made many times a year. I do not know of any practical home method to check for freshness. Taste is one way. If it tastes fresh, then it is. Quality you should be able to tell by how you feel while taking it - and by how your health is while taking it.

  • Optimal liposomal Vitamin C: "...and sends them to the liver for normal processing"10/21/12 2:48 AM
    • Hello Dr Lynch.
Thanks a lot for your kind response to my previous question.
I like your Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C and I'll certainly keep on using it, and I'll also highly recommend it to my friends.
But, allow me please to rerurn and focus on a point of critical importance to me: I quote from PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:"...Your body absorbs the liposomes as essential phospholipids and sends them straight to the liver for normal processing".
Q1: What kind of "normal processing" do these liposomes undergo inside the liver?
Q2: In what form do these liposomes exit from the liver after "normal processing"? Do they exit in the form of liposomes? Yes or no?
Q3: If they exit from the liver in the form of liposomes, and enter the blood stream, how do they evade the Immume system? Are n't the liposomes destroyed by the immune system?
Your answer to my last question : "Liposomes allow their contents to slip past cell membranes and act immediately within the cell. This is why they are so effective. Nutrients that are not in liposomes typically require some form of carrier protein or receptor binding site to be taken into the cell. When the nutrient is in a liposome, it does not need either system"
explains very well the final stage of liposome absorption by the body cells, which implies that in the initial stage these liposomes have exited intact drom the liver into the bloodstream, and then have travelled intact by the Immune system all the way to the cells.
      Please explain.
      Thank you.

    • Hello -

I recommend reading a book or some articles on how liposomes work.

Answering these questions would require such ;)

  • Ingredient Question10/22/12 8:27 AM
    • Other competing brands use soy lecithin to deliver the vitamin c into your system. I like to avoid soy as much as possible. Your product says it's soy free, which is a huge selling point for me. What is your non-hydrogenated Phosphatidylcholiine derived from?
    • Hello -

Our non-hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine is derived from tested non-GMO soy.

Our liposomal vitamin C is tested soy free.

Though the phosphatidylcholine is derived from tested non-GMO soy, the soy protein content has been tested as not present. This is because phosphatidylcholine is a pure fat. A properly prepared phosphatidylcholine should be free of proteins and ours is tested to be free of the soy protein.

    • Hi, I was wondering if your Liposomal C uses acetylcholine from a non-GMO source. Thanks
    • Hello -

There is no acetylcholine in this product. There is phosphatidylcholine which helps produce acetylcholine.

Yes, the phosphatidylcholine is from a non-GMO source.

Also can this product be stored in the Fridge after opening?

      Thanks

    • Hi Chris -

There are natural fruit flavors in the Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C; there are no added sugars.

This product may be stored in the fridge after opening - absolutely.
