Why I Formulated This

Histamine breakdown requires six fully functional enzymes. If any single one of them is under-supported, histamine gets stuck and you experience high histamine and the symptoms that go along with it.

Two enzymes you've heard of are DAO and HNMT. DAO breaks histamine apart outside your cells, mainly in the gut. HNMT works inside your cells, using SAMe as its methyl donor. Most supplements stop right here.

DAO and HNMT don't fully eliminate histamine on their own. They convert it into compounds that still need to be finished off by a second set of enzymes: ALDH clears what DAO leaves behind, and MAOA and MAOB clear what HNMT creates. Skip this step, and those half-broken-down intermediates don't just sit there quietly. They build up and interfere with the very enzymes trying to break histamine down in the first place. This means histamine keeps climbing instead of clearing which is likely a big reason so many people who take a single-enzyme supplement feel little to no relief.†

Then there's a backup route called NAT2. It's an alternate exit path for histamine, and it matters most when your primary routes are already maxed out. I built support for that, too.

Additionally, all six of these enzymes leave behind their own toxic compounds as they work, things like ammonia. Alpha-ketoglutarate mops those up, so your body isn't trading one problem for another.

Six enzymes. Six points of support. That's how you support your body in getting histamine all the way out.†

How to Use It

1 to 2 capsules with food, any time of day or night, as needed. Most people notice a difference within an hour†

When to Use It

Take it any time your body starts reacting:

  • Pollen season hits and your nose won't stop running
  • The sun made you feel itchy
  • You just ate leftovers, aged cheese, wine, or anything fermented
  • You're drinking alcohol in general, since alcohol both contains histamine and blocks the DAO enzyme that breaks it down
  • You're around pets and your eyes start watering
  • Stress is running high (stress itself can trigger histamine release)
  • Before or after a hard workout, if you sweat profusely, red face flush or your ears ring
  • A day full of fragrances, candles, or cleaning products cause you head discomfort
  • You're exhausted but can't fall asleep
  • Bug bites turn into big, itchy welts that won't quit
  • You've spent time in a water-damaged or musty building
  • Riding in a car, boat, or on a carnival ride leaves you queasy, the same histamine receptor pathway that motion sickness remedies target
  • Barometric pressure shifts or you're at a higher elevation
  • Menstrual cramping feels more intense than it should
  • A scratch on your skin leaves a raised red line that lingers†

Signs You May Want to Pause or Stop

If your histamine is already balanced, taking this can push it too low. Watch for drowsiness, constipation, trouble concentrating, or cold hands and feet. If that happens, stop and let your levels come back up on their own.†

How to Support It More

  • Optimal Electrolyte — dehydration concentrates histamine in your blood. One serving each morning helps dilute it before the day starts.†
  • Mast Cell Nutrients — Histamine Nutrients clears histamine after it's released. Mast Cell Nutrients contains nutrients and herbs designed to block mast cell histamine release in the first place. Keeping histamine inside the mast cell is a very important step. Pair them if you're needing Histamine Nutrients often.†
  • Fish Oil — Omega-3s change mast cell membrane composition in a way that makes histamine release physically harder to trigger.†

Everyday you’re exposed to compounds which may trigger histamine release.

How is it that you’re struggling with histamine intolerance while others, who are exposed to the same things, are not?

The answer is you cannot break histamine down very well and they can.

Histamine intolerance is primarily caused by your reduced ability to break histamine down and eliminate it from your body.

In other words, your histamine genes are dirty.

Clean your histamine genes.

Histamine Nutrients cleans your histamine genes. It contains a synergistic collection of nutrients which support total body histamine breakdown.

If you relate to one or more of the following statements, then Histamine Nutrients may be helpful for you in supporting healthy histamine levels:

  • I want to walk outside and breathe freely through my nose.
  • I desire feeling comfortable around pets.
  • When mosquitos bite me, I get big, itchy bumps that I scratch profusely.
  • If my skin gets scratched, red lines stay on my skin for quite some time.
  • I want to fall asleep like a healthy person.
  • As a man, I tend to orgasm too quickly.
  • I tend to get irritable or headaches around fragrances.
  • I tend to be more sensitive to EMF and WiFi than others.
  • I have a dirty histamine pathway (DAO, HNMT, NAT2, ALDH, MAOA, MAOB).
  • I have tried, or currently use, Histamine Digest and still experience histamine symptoms.
  • When exercising, I sweat profusely, often getting a red face or ringing in my ears.

The synergistic blend of nutrients found in Histamine Nutrients supports healthy histamine metabolism. It also supports the body’s normal breakdown of histamine’s toxic byproducts.

Inside the Uncompromising Quality of Our Ingredients

×
  • DAO2™ (Diamine oxidase)
This patented enzyme, derived from porcine (pork) kidney extract, supports the healthy breakdown of histamine in many areas of your body —especially the small intestine, colon, placenta, kidney, appendix, testis, and prostate.
  • S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe)
Your body's main methyl donor. Supports a healthy mood, joint comfort, liver health, healthy histamine metabolism, and normal genetic expression.
  • Alpha Keto-Glutarate
Supports the normal breakdown of ammonia, a toxic byproduct of histamine metabolism
  • Vitamin C
Supports immune system function, antioxidant and enzyme activity, histamine metabolism via DAO production, collagen production, mast cell stability and respiratory health.
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate)
This active form of vitamin B6 is involved in over 140 different enzymatic reactions in the body. It supports healthy ammonia levels, absorption of magnesium into red blood cells, neurological function, serotonin synthesis and hormone metabolism, as well as homocysteine and glutathione formation.
  • Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)
Essential for proper cortisol regulation and adrenal function. It is also a cofactor for the NAT2 enzyme, which metabolizes histamine to acetyl histamine and eliminates it in the urine.
  • Zinc, Vitamins B1 & B3
Nutrient cofactors for aldehyde metabolism and the ALDH enzyme.
  • Vitamin B2
A cofactor for the MAOA and MAOB enzymes
  • LifePQQ®
A powerful antioxidant-like compound that supports healthy energy production, cognitive function, blood sugar regulation, and a healthy response to exercise-induced soreness.
  • Copper
A cofactor for the DAO enzyme

    COMT reviewer

Please put a warning on this for the slow COMT people and please consider more specialized COMT formulas for those of us that suffer. I will still give a 5 star review because I love the products but we need more support in the supplement world.
