Why I Formulated This

I formulated Optimal Man for myself first. As I got into my upper 40s, I knew I needed to support healthy testosterone levels—and I also needed a comprehensive men’s multivitamin. I looked at what was available and didn’t like what I found. Most testosterone support supplements were all herbs with no foundational nutrition. Most multivitamins had zero hormone support. And none of them addressed estrogen metabolism which is just as important for men as testosterone support.

So I designed Optimal Man to be the all-in-one solution: a complete multivitamin with targeted herbs for healthy testosterone levels, DIM for healthy estrogen metabolism, and the active, body-ready nutrient forms I insist on: no synthetic folic acid, no cyanocobalamin, no cheap oxide minerals.

It worked so well that my barber started commenting on how thick my hair was. I hadn’t even noticed until he pointed it out. Now he wants to carry it in his shop for his customers.

Then, as I got into my 50s, I needed additional support. That’s when I designed Testosterone Nutrients as a companion product for a complete stack. More on that below.

One thing I didn’t expect: a lot of the people buying Optimal Man are wives and girlfriends. They notice the changes before the guys do: the energy dip, the shorter temper, the motivation fading. If someone who cares about you pointed you toward this page, listen to them. They’re paying attention.

One Sign Most Men Overlook

There’s a simple, private indicator of healthy testosterone that most men don’t think about: morning erections. Testosterone levels naturally peak in the early morning hours. Waking up with a firm erection is a normal sign that your body is producing healthy levels of testosterone and that your vascular system is functioning well. [25,26]

If that’s happening less often, or not at all, it doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong. Stress, poor sleep, and nutritional gaps can all play a role. But it’s one of the most straightforward signals your body gives you, and it’s worth paying attention to. [25,27]

I mention this because most men won’t bring it up, and most health content won’t either. But if you’ve noticed a change, supporting healthy testosterone levels with the right nutrients is a reasonable place to start.

How to Use

Take 2–4 capsules daily with a protein-based meal, in divided doses. Two capsules after breakfast, and if needed, two more after lunch. Do not take within 5 hours of bedtime.

I typically range from 2 capsules to 4 depending on what my body is telling me. If I’m traveling, working hard, or under higher demand, I’ll take 4 capsules consistently day after day until I wake up feeling great: morning erection, clear head, good mood, solid energy. Then I’ll either skip it altogether or drop down to 1–2 capsules. Let your body guide you.

Key Tip: Start with 2 capsules and see how you respond before moving to 4. You can always take the full serving but you can’t take back what’s already been swallowed.

Women Can Use Optimal Man Too

Women need healthy testosterone levels, too, as it supports healthy energy, mood, motivation, and lean body composition. My wife, Nadia, says she likes to “man up” some days. She’ll take 1–2 capsules of Optimal Man after breakfast and says she feels energized and in a good mood. It’s not something she takes every day, just when she feels she needs that extra drive.

If you’re a woman experiencing a need for healthy energy, motivation, libido and mood support, especially during perimenopause or postmenopause, Optimal Man is worth considering at a lower serving of 1–2 capsules.

Teenage Boys

Teenage boys can take Optimal Man if they’d like. It provides excellent foundational nutrition for growing young men. Start with 1–2 capsules. Do note that supporting healthy testosterone levels may increase acne in some teens, so be mindful and adjust accordingly.

Men Supporting Healthy Fertility

If you’re supporting healthy fertility, take the full 4 capsules of Optimal Man daily and stack it with Fish Oil and Optimal Electrolyte (more on those below). This gives you comprehensive nutritional support for healthy sperm production, libido, motility, and reproductive function. Testosterone Nutrients is rarely needed in addition for fertility support as Optimal Man already provides what most men at reproductive age need.

Stack with Testosterone Nutrients (Especially Over 40)

Optimal Man supports healthy testosterone levels on its own and for younger men in their 20s and 30s, that’s typically all you need.

Testosterone production naturally declines with age. Research shows that after age 30, most men experience a gradual decline in testosterone production of roughly 1–2% per year. [17] By the time you’re over 40, you may need additional targeted support beyond what Optimal Man provides on its own.

That’s exactly why I designed Testosterone Nutrients as a companion product. When I hit my 50s, I personally needed the additional support. The stack of Optimal Man + Testosterone Nutrients gives you comprehensive hormone support: Optimal Man covers your foundational nutrition plus baseline hormone support, while Testosterone Nutrients provides concentrated additional herbs and nutrients specifically designed to further support healthy testosterone production.

Stack with Optimal Electrolyte

We’re roughly 70% water. Proper hydration with the right electrolytes, not just salt is essential for your body to function optimally. . Your hormones, your muscles, your sperm, your brain, your energy - all of it depends on proper hydration at the cellular level.

Optimal Electrolyte provides a balanced electrolyte formula with magnesium, potassium, sodium, and other key minerals to support cellular hydration, healthy energy, and muscle function. Think of it as the foundation underneath everything else you’re taking.

Stack with Fish Oil

Healthy men need healthy cell membranes. Every cell in your body, including the Leydig cells that produce testosterone, is surrounded by a membrane made largely of fatty acids. Fish oil provides the omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) that are essential for maintaining healthy, fluid cell membranes. [18]

Fish oil is also important for supporting healthy hormone production, a balanced inflammatory response, cardiovascular function, and brain health. For men focused on vitality and performance, fish oil isn’t optional. [18,19]

Whether you’re exploring this for yourself or for someone you care about, see if any of these sound familiar:

  1. “Your energy and drive aren’t what they used to be—you feel like you’re losing your edge.”

Healthy testosterone levels support energy production, motivation, and that sense of vitality men associate with feeling like themselves. B vitamins, zinc, and adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha support healthy energy metabolism and hormone production. [1,3,8]

  2. “You’re over 40 and noticing changes in your body composition: harder to build or maintain lean muscle despite consistent exercise.”

Testosterone supports healthy lean body mass and muscle protein synthesis. Zinc, magnesium, Eurycoma longifolia, and ashwagandha have been studied for their role in supporting healthy testosterone levels in aging men. [1,2,3]

  3. “Your libido has declined in a way that doesn’t match how you feel emotionally.”

Healthy testosterone levels are a key factor in supporting normal sexual desire in both men and women. Eurycoma longifolia, ashwagandha, and maca have traditionally been used and clinically studied for supporting healthy libido. [1,2,4]

  4. “You’re a man who wants to support healthy fertility and reproductive function.”

Zinc, selenium, L-carnitine, folate, B12, CoQ10, and antioxidants like glutathione all play roles in supporting healthy sperm production, motility, and overall reproductive health. [5,6,10,12]

  5. “Morning erections are less frequent or less firm than they used to be.”

This is one of the body’s most straightforward signals of healthy testosterone and vascular function. Testosterone levels naturally peak in the early morning hours, and healthy morning erections reflect that rhythm. Research shows a clear relationship between testosterone levels and nocturnal erections. Changes in frequency or firmness often track with stress, sleep quality, and nutritional status—all of which are addressable. [1,4,20,25,26]

  6. “You’ve become more irritable, less patient, or shorter-tempered than usual.”

Healthy testosterone levels support balanced mood and emotional regulation. Ashwagandha has been clinically shown to support healthy cortisol levels, which influences mood stability and stress tolerance. [3,21]

  7. “Your motivation is fading. Things that used to excite you now feel like a chore.”

Testosterone supports dopaminergic activity in the brain, which plays a role in motivation, reward-seeking behavior, and goal-directed drive. B vitamins and active folate support healthy neurotransmitter production. [15,22]

  8. “You’re more forgetful or find it harder to concentrate than you used to.”

Healthy testosterone levels support cognitive function including memory and focus. B12, folate, choline, and ginseng support healthy brain function and neurotransmitter activity. [4,15,16]

  9. “You notice your hair thinning or your beard growing more patchy and sparse.”

Hair follicle function is influenced by hormonal balance, nutrient status, and circulation. Zinc, biotin, B vitamins, and supporting healthy hormone ratios, all play roles in normal hair growth cycles. [5,6,23]

  10. “You’re gaining weight around the midsection despite not changing your diet.”

Healthy testosterone-to-estrogen ratios influence where the body stores fat. DIM supports healthy estrogen metabolism, while zinc and adaptogenic herbs support healthy testosterone levels—both of which affect body composition. [3,7]

  11. “You sleep 7–8 hours but still wake up feeling unrested and sluggish.”

Healthy testosterone levels support sleep quality and restorative sleep architecture. Ashwagandha has been studied for supporting healthy sleep quality and recovery. Magnesium supports healthy sleep patterns. [3,21]

  12. “You recover from workouts more slowly than you used to.”

Testosterone, zinc, magnesium, antioxidants, and healthy inflammatory nutrients all support healthy post-exercise recovery. L-carnitine supports healthy muscle recovery and exercise-induced oxidative stress. [9,10,12]

  13. “You’re a woman looking for gentle testosterone support for energy, mood, and motivation.

Women produce and need testosterone too—just in smaller amounts. Supporting healthy testosterone levels in women supports energy, mood, motivation, healthy lean body composition, and libido. Start with 1–2 capsules. [3,24]

  14. “You’re concerned about environmental exposures affecting your hormone health.”

Modern environmental exposures from plastics, pesticides, and industrial chemicals can challenge healthy hormone balance. Antioxidants, DIM, glutathione, and comprehensive nutritional support help support the body’s natural detoxification and hormone metabolism pathways. [7,13,14]

  15. “You want a multivitamin without synthetic folic acid especially if you have MTHFR variants.”

Optimal Man contains Quatrefolic® (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and calcium folinate—two natural forms of folate that don’t require MTHFR enzyme conversion. No synthetic folic acid. Active B12 forms (methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin) complete the methylation support. [15,16]

  16. “You feel less competitive, less assertive, or less confident than you used to be.”

Testosterone can influence confidence, assertiveness, and competitive drive through its effects on brain chemistry and neurological pathways. Supporting healthy testosterone levels with targeted nutrients and herbs supports these aspects of masculine vitality. [22]

  17. “You’re taking a handful of separate supplements and want to simplify your routine.”

Optimal Man combines a complete multivitamin, hormone-supportive herbs, antioxidants, methylation support, and detoxification nutrients in one product—replacing multiple bottles with a single comprehensive formula.

  18. “You’re under frequent stress and suspect it’s affecting your hormones.”

frequent stress elevates cortisol, which can compete with healthy testosterone production. Ashwagandha (KSM-66®) has been clinically shown to support healthy cortisol levels and, in turn, support healthy testosterone levels in stressed men. [3,21]

  19. “You depend on caffeine or pre-workouts to get through the day.”

Relying on stimulants for baseline energy suggests the body’s energy production and hormonal systems need nutritional support. B vitamins, CoQ10, L-carnitine, and healthy testosterone levels all support natural energy production without stimulant dependency. [8,9,10]
