High End Ingredients

I kept seeing the same pattern in patients and in my own training: people taking creatine, not feeling much. They'd try it for a few weeks, get frustrated, and move on. Most of the time the product wasn't the problem. The context was.

Creatine enters muscle and brain cells through a sodium-dependent transporter called SLC6A8. That transporter requires sodium to function. Without it, creatine stays in circulation instead of reaching the tissue. Most creatine products ignore this completely. They're just powder in a bottle, nothing more.

Magnesium is the other piece that gets left out. Creatine is stored and used in cells as phosphocreatine, and converting creatine to phosphocreatine requires a magnesium-dependent enzyme called creatine kinase. If magnesium is low, and it often is, that conversion stalls. I've seen estimates that close to half of adults in the US don't reach adequate magnesium intake. Adding creatine on top of that without addressing magnesium is like buying a high-performance engine and running it without oil.

I chose Creavitalis for the creatine source because it's pharmaceutical-grade, 200-mesh micronized, made in Germany, and backed by rigorous production standards. For the magnesium, I used Albion DiMagnesium Malate, a chelated form with good absorption and tolerability. Malate also supports mitochondrial energy production through the Krebs cycle, which adds a quiet benefit for anyone using this to support physical or cognitive output.

The sodium comes from Himalayan pink salt at 75mg per serving. That's a meaningful amount relative to what the SLC6A8 transporter needs, without pushing sodium to a level that matters for blood pressure. It's intentional, not incidental.

This product is for people who want creatine to actually work, especially those who've tried plain creatine before and weren't satisfied. Athletes, people supporting cognitive health, anyone dealing with the kind of low-grade physical or mental fatigue that responds to better cellular energy. The formula is clean. No fillers, no other ingredients. It stacks cleanly with protein, other performance nutrients, or nothing at all.

This product is right for you if:

  • You're an active adult looking to support muscle output, strength, or recovery alongside regular resistance training or high-intensity activity.
  • You want a clean creatine with no additives, no flavor, no sweeteners.
  • You've tried plain creatine before without satisfying results.
  • You're supporting cognitive performance and want a well-researched compound for brain energy.
  • You eat little to no red meat and want to ensure your creatine intake is adequate.

Desk workers and non-exercisers:

Creatine isn't only for athletes. Research on creatine for cognitive function, particularly during mental fatigue or sleep deprivation, is growing. If your primary goal is brain energy rather than physical performance, this product still applies.

MTHFR or methylation concerns:

People with MTHFR variants or reduced methylation capacity produce less creatine endogenously. Supplementing directly can balance the methylation demand for creatine synthesis, which may free up methyl groups for other pathways.

Older adults:

Muscle creatine content declines with age. Supplementation supports muscle protein synthesis, power output, and functional strength in older adults, particularly when combined with resistance training. The magnesium in this formula also supports bone and muscle health in this population.

This product is probably NOT right for you if:

  • You have chronic kidney disease or impaired renal function — creatine metabolism increases creatinine, which can confound kidney function markers; consult your provider before use
  • You're looking for a stimulant-based pre-workout — this product contains no stimulants
  • You're on a strict sodium-restricted diet and your provider has asked you to minimize all additional sodium sources
  • You're under 18 — this product has not been studied in adolescents and is formulated for adults

Key Ingredients

Inside the Uncompromising Quality of Our Ingredients

  • Creavitalis® 200-mesh micronized creatine monohydrate
Replenishes the phosphocreatine pool in muscle and brain tissue, supporting rapid ATP regeneration during high-intensity physical effort and cognitively demanding tasks. The 5g dose aligns with the maintenance dose used across the majority of efficacy trials.†
  • Albion® DiMagnesium Malate
Magnesium is an essential cofactor for creatine kinase, the enzyme that converts creatine to phosphocreatine inside cells. Without adequate magnesium, this conversion is rate-limited regardless of how much creatine is present. Malic acid (malate) also participates in the Krebs cycle, supporting mitochondrial energy production.
  • Sodium chloride, Himalayan pink salt
Sodium is the co-transporter ion for SLC6A8, the primary creatine transporter responsible for moving creatine into muscle and brain cells. SLC6A8 is sodium-dependent: transporter activity is reduced when extracellular sodium is insufficient. The 75 mg dose addresses this transporter requirement without contributing a clinically significant sodium load.

Suggested Use

Mix one scoop (6.4 g) with 8 to 12 oz of filtered water and stir or shake until completely dissolved. May be taken in divided doses any time of day or night. For best absorption, consume with carbohydrates or in a smoothie. Pairs well with Optimal Whey Protein.†
