Using Optimal Prenatal MF Throughout Your Journey

I designed Optimal Prenatal MF to support you through every stage of motherhood—from preconception through pregnancy and into your postpartum and breastfeeding months. If you're planning to conceive, I recommend starting this prenatal at least three months before trying. This gives your body time to build nutrient stores that support healthy egg quality, implantation, and early fetal development. During pregnancy, Optimal Prenatal MF provides the comprehensive nutritional foundation you and your developing baby need. After birth, continue taking it to support your recovery, energy levels, and breast milk quality if you're nursing.

Customizing Your Serving Size

Here's something important: you don't need to take all 6 capsules every day. Listen to your body. Some days you'll feel you need the full serving—perhaps on days when you're more active, experiencing moments of stress, or your diet wasn't as nutrient-dense. Other days, you may only need 2 or 3 capsules, especially if you're eating well and feeling great. This is your prenatal, and you know your body best. Adjust your serving based on how you feel, your lifestyle, and what you're eating. There's no rigid rule here—flexibility is key to supporting your unique needs throughout this journey.

Complementary Support for Optimal Pregnancy Health

While Optimal Prenatal MF is comprehensive, certain nutrients may need additional support based on your individual needs. If your healthcare provider recommends iron supplementation, consider Iron Plus Cofactors, which provides gentle, well-absorbed iron with supportive nutrients. Optimal PC offers additional phosphatidylcholine to support your baby's brain development, healthy breast milk, healthy breast milk flow and your liver function. Fish Oil provides essential omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) that are crucial for your baby's healthy brain and eye development. And don't forget hydration—Optimal Electrolyte helps you maintain proper fluid balance, which is especially important during pregnancy when your blood volume increases significantly.

Supporting Your Partner's Fertility

Healthy conception takes two. If you're trying to conceive, encourage your partner to take Optimal Man. This formula supports healthy testosterone levels, sperm quality, and male fertility with research-backed ingredients including active folate, ashwagandha, and Tongkat ali. Starting Optimal Man at least three months before trying to conceive gives his body time to support healthy sperm development—the full cycle of sperm maturation takes about 74 days.

Do you get side effects from methylated nutrients?

Some people experience nervousness, headaches, or rapid heartbeat when they take nutrients like methylcobalamin and methylfolate.

Yet, these active forms of vitamin B12 and folate are required for a healthy and successful pregnancy. For women who are considered higher-risk, bioavailable and well-tolerated sources of B12 and folate are absolutely critical.

Optimal Prenatal MF is the first non-methylated prenatal vitamin of its kind. This unique formula provides high-strength nutrition minus the methyl donors.

If you relate to one or more of the following, then Optimal Prenatal MF may be exactly what you’re looking for:

  • I get side effects like nervousness, headaches, or rapid heartbeat when I take methylated nutrients.
  • Prior pregnancies have been difficult. I have a history of pregnancy complications or preterm births. I want to support a healthy pregnancy.
  • I have multiple nutrient deficiencies.
  • I experience significant morning sickness.
  • Currently, I’m trying to get pregnant, and I am experiencing difficulties. I want to support healthy fertility.
  • I’m looking for the most comprehensive prenatal formula.
  • I’m tired and breastfeeding. I feel I need more nutritional support for both me and my baby.
  • I tend to feel blue and tired. Experiencing a positive mood and healthy levels of energy would be lovely.
  • While six capsules per serving is a lot, it’s ok for me as I know I’m truly nourishing my developing baby, my placenta, and myself.

Most high-strength prenatals on the market contain methylated nutrients. If you’re sensitive to methyl groups, you may have thought you had no options...until now.

Dr. Ben Lynch designed Optimal Prenatal MF as a solution for women needing potent prenatal care but are sensitive to methyl donors.

(Wondering if you’re sensitive to methylated nutrients? This article will help you determine if you need methyl-free supplements.)

Optimal Prenatal MF includes non-methylated forms of folate and B12. These methyl-free forms take additional enzyme steps before becoming methyl donors. This slower delivery may provide relief and comfort for women sensitive to methylated nutrients.

Optimal Prenatal MF contains the key nutrients you need for a healthy pregnancy in bioavailable forms, including non-methylated B12 and folate.

  • Folate, as folinic acid (calcium folinate)
  • B12, as adenosylcobalamin and Hydroxocobalamin
  • Vitamin D3, as cholecalciferol
  • Calcium, as diCalcium malate
  • Ginger to support digestive comfort
  • 30+ key nutrients to support a healthy pregnancy

This nutrient-dense prenatal multivitamin is free of:

  • Methylated B vitamins
  • Methylcobalamin
  • Methylfolate
  • S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe)
  • Choline
  • Inositol
  • Trimethylglycine (TMG or Betaine)

Like methylfolate and methylcobalamin, folinic acid (folate), and adenosylcobalamin (B12) provide potent, bioavailable prenatal nutrition. These non-methylated forms may be a better option for those sensitive to methyl donors.

Optimal Prenatal MF provides crucial support for healthy fetal development in the following areas:

  • The spine and brain
  • Overall growth
  • The immune system
  • Antioxidant production

It also supports mom’s digestive comfort.

Folic acid is never included in any Seeking Health prenatals or dietary supplements. This artificial version of folate is not well utilized by the body. In fact, it can even contribute to folate deficiency!

This prenatal vitamin does not include iron. Some women do not process iron well or do not need iron supplementation. This makes it easy to customize your dosage by supplementing separately with a gentle form of iron. All our Seeking Health prenatal vitamins are gluten-free.

Dr. Lynch recommends starting prenatals for several months before trying to conceive. Optimal Prenatal MF can be taken before, during, and after pregnancy to support:

  • Healthy fertility
  • Pregnancy health
  • Normal fetal development
  • Postpartum recovery
  • Breastfeeding

Optimal Prenatal MF features well-absorbed, chelated minerals and bioavailable vitamins to nourish both of you through this nine-month journey.

Pregnancy is hard enough. You shouldn’t struggle with side effects related to your prenatal. Now, you can provide your body and baby with bioavailable nutrition...without the headache of methyl donors!

Key Ingredients

Inside the Uncompromising Quality of Our Ingredients

×
  • Active Folate
As folinic acid, a non-methylated folate. Bioavailable folate is essential for your baby's DNA and RNA synthesis. It is also required for healthy genetic, spinal, and brain development. Folic acid is never included in any of our prenatals or dietary supplements. This artificial version of folate is not well utilized by the body and may even contribute to folate deficiency!
  • Bioavailable B12
Adeno- and Hydroxo-cobalamin are non-methylated forms of vitamin B12. These bioavailable forms support healthy energy production and detoxification. Your body requires vitamin B12 to utilize folate.
  • Vitamin D
Supports healthy calcium utilization, immune and cardiovascular system function, cognition, bone health and a healthy mood by aiding in serotonin synthesis
  • Chelated Minerals(Albion®)
The minerals in this formula are bonded with amino acids. This makes them recognizable by your body for utilization and absorption.
  • Vitamin A
This essential vitamin is critical for healthy fetal development. Most prenatals do not use retinyl palmitate, the active form of vitamin A. Dr. Lynch uses this form of vitamin A as it supports healthy  eye, skin, bone, and immune system health in both the mother and developing baby.

    Doesn’t contain Iron

super bummed to find out that this prenatal didn’t have iron. I just figured it did and after finding out my ferritin was so dangerously low that I needed IV infusions asap, I double checked and was sooo disappointed. Let me also add that my ferritin was actually slightly elevated before I was pregnant and I was regularly consuming red meats and other sources of iron in my diet yet I still ended up in this state. I wish they’d at least state that this won’t cover your iron needs! I thought I was doing everything I could after 3 losses and this added extra stress at 30 weeks pregnant.

    Amazing MultiVitamin!

I started taking these about two months ago, and I’ve noticed a positive change in my daily energy, mood, and overall sense of well-being. I don’t seem to hit that mid-afternoon slump, and I feel balanced and at ease throughout the day. I’m so grateful to have been introduced to this!
