Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid by Seeking Health provides 1,000 mcg of hydroxocobalamin along with 800 mcg of folate as folinic acid in an easy-to-deliver lozenge form. Not only does hydroxocobalamin easily convert to methylcobalamin (a coenzyme form of B12 utilized within the body), but it is also well tolerated by individuals who have trouble taking "pre-methylated" B vitamins. It may also have the unique benefit of helping to support healthy cellular detoxification. This makes it a great option for individuals who are looking for a non-methylated alternative to the more common cyanocobalamin form of B12. Unlike cyanocobalamin, which consists of cobalamin (B12) attached to a cyanide molecule, hydroxocobalamin does not contain any potentially harmful compounds that require additional processing for safe removal from the body.*
Similarly, folinic acid offers a preferred form of folate that quickly converts to L-methylfolate, the predominant form of folate in circulation in the body. It may be easier for individuals who are sensitive to methylated nutrients to tolerate than supplemental L-methylfolate. This convenient combination of readily available B12 and folate in non-methylated forms offers an alternative to our popular Active B12 with L-5-MTHF Lozenges.*
Folate is essential for cell division, growth, and the formation of new red blood cells. Vitamin B12 is required for proper red blood cell formation, neurological function, and DNA synthesis. Vitamin B12 functions as a cofactor for methionine synthase and L-methylmalonyl-CoA mutase. Both of these B vitamins are needed to support natural methylation processes.*
For greater dosage flexibility, consider our standalone Hydroxo B12 and Folinic Acid Lozenges.
Take 1 lozenge daily or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Lozenge may be broken into smaller pieces if lower dosage is desired.
Children and pregnant or lactating women should consult their healthcare practitioner prior to use. Do not use if tamper seal is damaged. Consult with a healthcare professional before use if you are using antibiotics or other medications.

Thank you, Dr. Lynch, for your research and all you do. Your work is bringing much needed change to the medical profession, and people's lives. I had been misdiagnosed with major mood disorder, I learned years later only after irreversible damage to thyroid and kidneys no doubt from prescription poison. When I later had a break in my prescribed methylB12 shots, I began feeling horrible mentally - depressed, paranoid...I was also doing methylB12 and methylfolate supplements. After switching to your hydroxyB12 product, and also switching to folinic acid instead of methylfolate, I was relieved to discover that although my doctor didn't refill the methylB12 shots, I didn't need them, as she suspected. No horrible state of mind. It's such a relief to not need to give myself a shot every day and to feel normal. I might add, as well, that I was prescribed by the same practitioner some other things (glycine,L-Theanine, vitamin C) which may also be helping me with my particular mutations (1677MTHFR heterozygous) not need the shots; I don't know. The reason I don't give this a 4 in purity, is because of the additives: ascorbyl palmitate, silica. Is it necessary? Also, it's wheat free, but is it gluten free? It was prescribed for me, and I was also prescribed gluten free diet, so I'm assuming it is, but I know that "flavorings" can legally hide a lot of stuff. It would be helpful if you could just add "gluten free" to the list of missing ingredients. Thank you again and continued success with your research and helping us all live lives - not lies - to the fullest! (Posted on 9/13/2016)
